The Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 is a major advancement in mouse evolution. Its patented shape supports your hand in a relaxed handshake position that eliminates forearm twisting. The mouse remains stable when pressing buttons because the thumb naturally opposes the finger movement, enabling you to maintain position for increased accuracy and fewer missed shots.
The similarity in grip to the more traditional horizontal mouse means that there is a very limited learning curve in adjusting to the operation of the VerticalMouse 3. The lowforce switches only take about half of the force of a traditional mouse and won't tire your hand out in those long and intense gaming sessions. In addition, the light weight (150 grams for the corded version and 250 grams for the Cordless model) means that you will be putting a lighter load on your hand and arm.
No longer will you need to have a deathgrip on your mouse. The contoured black portion of the mouse has a polyurethane coating which your hand naturally grips to so you can relax and allow your hand to rest and still maintain control of your mouse.
A Gamer's Delight
The Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 features 5 buttons (1 thumb operated, three standard, and a fifth one on the scroll wheel). Using the latest driver, all 5 of these buttons are programmable to many different functions. You can also use the driver to develop custom profiles for different games or applications, automatically chosen when that application or game is active. "Speed Toggle" option lets you cycle through 3 pointer speed settings with a keyboard shortcut or mouse button.
The 2600 DPI Avago 3080 gaming grade infrared optical sensor tracks more accurately than most laser sensors on the majority of surfaces and provides optimum precision and accuracy. The DPI selector on the bottom lets you choose the optimum setting for each purpose (2600, 1800, 1300, or 800).
The newest driver offers full support for all functions in Windows XP Home/ XP Pro, and Vista 32. A Freeware driver which offers functionalily in both XP 64 and VISTA 64 is available.
